The Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police – research institute, together with International Association of Bloodstain Pattern Analysis (IABPA) are organizing the 6th European Conference of International Association of Bloodstain Pattern Analysts, which is the international scientific conference taking place on 21-23 June 2017 in Windsor Hotel in Jachranka near Warsaw. The aim of the conference is to promote and disseminate knowledge in the scope of bloodstain pattern analysis. The event is addressed to BPA experts from all over the world who will have the opportunity to share their experience in the area of training, education, as well as standards pertaining to expert work. Invited speakers will also present the reports from casework studies and their experience in bloodstain pattern analysis; furthermore, they will discuss interesting cases encountered in their work routine. The exchange of ideas and experience in BPA analysis, as well as designation of a common path for the development in this field, is the key goal of the meeting. In addition, the event will offer other benefits, such as a practical workshop in visualisation and collection of BPA traces. The conference will be accompanied by the exhibition of services and cutting-edge testing equipment dedicated to the professional forensic analysis of bloodstain pattern. As such, the meeting shall also serve as the opportunity to become familiarized with the latest technical developments applicable in crime scene investigation as well as in expert daily laboratory work.
